MiloPrep vs Kaplan: CFP review comparison
Kaplan’s Essential review is aimed at independent preparation, while Premium adds a review class and a broader package. Compare the exact review tier with the subscription features you will use. Keep Kaplan’s separate education programs distinct from its exam-review packages.

What the subscription provides
MiloPrep offers video lessons, study materials, practice and progress analysis across the supported exam libraries. Premium is $49/month or $99 every 3 months. Account signup is separate from requesting a free PDF by email.
Compare the cost over your expected access period. Three monthly payments and one quarterly payment are different billing choices; a longer preparation period can change the total. Exam registration, education coursework and third-party class fees are separate.

When to consider Kaplan
For a working candidate, a recorded class and a live session can serve different needs. Preview the actual teaching format and decide whether interaction, pacing or replay access is the capability you are buying.
Use the same unfamiliar topic when comparing resources. Watch the explanation, attempt a new question and look for clear feedback. Review the package’s current access and guarantee conditions instead of assuming every tier includes the same terms.
Choose the class format before deciding that Premium fits
Onsite, live online and recorded instruction solve different scheduling problems. A candidate who values real-time interaction needs to check session times and attendance feasibility. A candidate who can study only after an unpredictable work shift should examine replay and self-directed study arrangements in the selected package.
Original example: a candidate sees a Premium class listed but can protect only short weekday blocks. Before purchasing, place the actual lessons, questions and review time on a calendar. The presence of an OnDemand choice may matter, but it does not establish that the workload can be completed in the time available.
A second candidate already has adequate instruction and wants unfamiliar practice. For that person, compare the specific practice and explanations with existing resources before buying a broader package. More content can add value, but duplicate instruction can also consume the time needed to review errors.
| Preference or constraint | Check in the selected package |
|---|---|
| Real-time questions | The class format and available instructor interaction |
| Variable work schedule | Replay availability and access duration |
| Need for pacing rehearsal | Mock format and time to review it |
| Existing education or review materials | Which resources would add a missing capability |
Compare the $845 tier difference with planned use
At the checked prices, Premium costs $845 more than Essential. Do not divide that difference by the number of listed features and call the result value. Identify which added resources solve an observed preparation problem, and whether you can use them before the selected exam.
Check access, package conditions and any protection terms for the exact tier and exam cycle. The provider’s public description is the source for its package claims; this comparison is not a hands-on product test. Use a sample to evaluate teaching clarity and read the applicable terms before relying on a refund or repeat-course benefit.
Compare the access period you would actually buy
The subscription calculation below uses current published billing prices and full billing cycles. It assumes the same prices throughout, no discounts or taxes, and cancellation before the next unwanted renewal. Quarterly billing buys a three-month period; this table does not assume a prorated refund for unused months.
Compare the relevant subscription amount with the exact provider package, then account for the difference in services. A class, instructor access, coursework, printed materials and a study subscription are not interchangeable units. The lower price does not establish equivalent coverage or a better learning outcome.

What this comparison can and cannot establish
The table compares publicly described resources and our published product access. We have not completed a controlled learning-outcome comparison, verified comparable pass rates or independently tested every provider feature.
Use the cited provider pages to verify package terms, then use a demo or sample to judge whether the teaching and feedback fit your needs. A feature count is not evidence that a course will produce a better result.
Questions about this topic
Does the Essential package include the same class as Premium?
The checked review pages distinguish Essential independent study from Premium review-class choices. Confirm the exact tier and exam cycle on the provider’s current page.
Do I need to buy both services?
Start with the gap in your current preparation. Another purchase is useful only if it adds a capability you need and will use, such as instruction, fresh practice, feedback or a scheduled class.
