MiloPrep vs PassKey / HOCK EA membership

PassKey’s website now redirects to HOCK’s EA membership, so evaluate that current offer rather than an old books-only description. HOCK lists EA textbooks, audio, videos, mocks and live study sessions in its membership. MiloPrep offers EA lessons and practice alongside other exam libraries with monthly or quarterly Premium billing.

The current HOCK offer and the dated promotion

On 10 October 2026, the page displayed a $119.99 monthly reference rate and a $59.99 promotional rate with an advertised end date of 10 October. The cost illustration below deliberately uses the reference rate, not an assumption that the promotion will continue.

Confirm the actual renewal rate, cancellation terms and included materials before subscribing. Printed books and the listed Brainscape flashcards are separate supplements.

The main distinction is the membership routine you will use

The current PassKey destination is HOCK’s EA membership. Older descriptions of PassKey as only a set of printed books do not capture this offer. The membership lists digital textbooks, audio, videos, practice, mock exams and weekly live study sessions, with some physical and external supplements sold separately.

The live-session and community elements may be useful when a regular discussion gives your study week structure. Their practical value depends on attendance, replay access and how questions are handled. A candidate whose work hours regularly conflict with the timetable should evaluate the asynchronous routine just as carefully.

MiloPrep offers another recurring-access model with EA lessons and practice plus other exam libraries. The catalog breadth on either side should be valued only for the resources you will actually use. Do not treat CE or another qualification’s materials as a substitute for the EA instruction needed before your next sitting.

The main distinction is the membership routine you will use
Membership elementPotential benefitDecision to make
Weekly live EA sessionsRegular opportunities to revisit difficult material. Can you attend, or do replay arrangements meet the need?
Digital books, audio and videoMore than one way to learn and revisit a topic.Which format will you use in a normal week?
Full mocksPractice sustaining attention across a complete sitting. Will you reserve time to review the mock as well as take it?
CE and additional coursesPotential value after enrollment or for other goals. Are those goals relevant during this subscription period?

Decide whether live study sessions will change your routine

A live-session membership can be useful when a regular appointment makes you prepare questions and revisit difficult topics. Check the session schedule, time zone and replay arrangements against your own calendar.

If you mainly study in short unpredictable blocks, inspect how easily you can resume the recorded lessons and questions. Judge the workflow you will actually use, rather than assigning value to every feature equally.

Original worked example

You want weekly accountability, but the live sessions occur during your workday. What should you verify before choosing?

Check whether replays and the question-support workflow meet your needs without live attendance.

This is a fit question about your available time. Neither a live timetable nor a low advertised monthly price proves that a course is the right choice.

Turn a live session into a learning task before assigning it value

Before a session, attempt the relevant questions and identify one point you cannot explain. During the session, look for the distinction that resolves it. Afterwards, answer a changed question without replaying the explanation. This makes attendance part of a learning loop rather than another completed activity.

If you cannot attend, inspect the current schedule and ask how replays and content questions work for the membership. Do not assume a replay includes an opportunity to ask your own follow-up. Equally, do not assume live attendance is necessary if the recorded instruction and available support resolve the gap.

Turn a live session into a learning task before assigning it value
StageOutput to look for
Before the sessionA specific rule, calculation or procedure you cannot explain.
During the session or replayA corrected explanation and the fact that changes the result.
After the sessionA new attempt that uses the corrected reasoning.
Before the next renewalA record of which membership functions you actually used.

A monthly price is only one part of the budget

Multiply the confirmed renewal rate by the months you expect to remain subscribed. Add a slower-study scenario and any separate materials you need. A low first payment is not necessarily the rate for every future month.

The MiloPrep quarterly option is charged every three months. If you only need one month of access, compare the total initial charge as well as the effective monthly price.

Compare the full commitment over 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months

A three-month comparison helps with a short study sprint, but it is not enough for someone spreading three parts around work or allowing for a retake. Use the same preparation horizon for both choices. The table assumes continuous paid access, unchanged reference prices and no discounts, taxes, exam fees or extra materials.

MiloPrep quarterly billing purchases a whole three-month block. One month therefore still requires one quarterly payment if you choose that plan. A package with a stated access limit cannot be extended in this illustration at an invented price. “Until passing” access also remains subject to the provider’s terms; it is not evidence of better learning outcomes.

Check the renewal price and supplements before subscribing

The displayed promotion was dated to end on 10 October 2026. That snapshot is not an offer we can guarantee to a later visitor. The comparison therefore uses the published reference rate and asks you to confirm the actual renewal charge at checkout. A promotional first payment and a continuing rate can have different consequences over a long study period.

The membership page advertises cancellation at any time. Check the effective end of access, next billing date and applicable refund terms before relying on that phrase for a short trial. Cancellation rights do not automatically establish a prorated refund for unused days.

If you need printed textbooks or the separately listed flashcards, add their current prices to the budget. If you are considering the included CE, check your actual enrollment and CE requirements before treating course completion as qualifying credit. The study product and the professional requirement are separate questions.

What this comparison can establish

The package descriptions come from the linked provider pages, and the subscription features and prices come from our current product catalog. We calculate the billing examples from those inputs. That supports a comparison of published resources, access periods and financial commitments.

We have not conducted a hands-on course benchmark or a controlled study of candidate outcomes. The demo tasks on this page are checks you can perform, not reported test results. A question count, a readiness score or a provider’s guarantee does not by itself establish which course will teach you more effectively.

Before buying, verify the exact package, testing-cycle coverage, renewal or extension terms, support scope and any refund conditions. Keep the written terms for the offer you accept. If a feature is essential and is not confirmed in the package description, ask the provider rather than treating an empty comparison cell as proof that the feature is included or unavailable.

Common questions

Is PassKey just a printed-book option?
That would be an incomplete description of the current offer. The PassKey website redirects to HOCK EA membership, which lists multiple digital resources and live study sessions.
Is the $59.99 HOCK promotion guaranteed to be available?
No. It was displayed at the 10 October 2026 check with an end date that day. Confirm the current price and renewal terms directly with HOCK.
Are printed books included in the membership?
The checked membership page lists hard-copy EA textbooks as separately sold supplements.
