CFA Level 2 vs Level 3
See how analysis becomes a supported decision, then practise turning a correct conclusion into a concise written response.
Rewrite analysis as a decision
A client has a near-term spending need, low loss capacity and a concentrated equity position.
Level II-style analysis
Analyze how the facts affect risk capacity.
Direct response: Near-term liquidity needs and concentration reduce the client’s capacity to absorb loss.

Preserve evidence discipline
Level III still uses vignette evidence. Keep Level II model selection, but connect it directly to the portfolio decision the command asks for.

Practise both response modes
Level III mixes vignette-supported multiple choice and constructed response. Write short supported answers from the start of the study plan.

Protect pathway time
Level III candidates choose one specialized pathway. Map its readings separately so the pathway does not crowd out the common core.
